Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee Chartwells catering and service operations on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. You will ensure kitchens and service counters run smoothly and deliver exceptional food experiences, integrating with Chartwells’ education sector mission.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of catering experience, proven team leadership, and a valid Basic Food Hygiene certificate, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated with a willingness to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams for excellent service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Coordinate between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams, leading from the front.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance.
