Catering Supervisor / Front of House Team Member
HOURS: Full-time / permanent – Applicants MUST be available to work evenings & weekends.
LOCATION: Daytona Sandown Park, More Lane, Esher, KT10 8AN.
Our client, Daytona Sandown Park, is currently looking for friendly, confident, enthusiastic, and reliable Catering Supervisor / Front of House staff to join their fun and busy team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulations including the Food Safety Act, Weights and Measures Acts, Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH Regulations, and The Licensing Act.
- Maintain HACCP standards and ensure all staff adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
- Oversee the catering department, ensuring all food preparation and presentation meet high standards.
- Manage menus, ensuring quality and adherence to company guidelines.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, stock levels, and storage, submitting monthly reports to the Finance Director.
- Order food supplies following company procedures in consultation with the General Manager.
- Ensure safe working practices, equipment maintenance, and proper storage of stock and equipment.
- Maintain company stock, equipment, and assets, reporting damages or losses promptly.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures and perform till reconciliations at shift end.
- Manage catering budgets, including staffing and purchasing.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams to manage stock and event-specific requirements.
- Brief catering team members on their duties and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all areas.
- Complete and circulate necessary paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
- Respond to reasonable requests from management to support operations.
Skills and Essentials
- Proven leadership and motivational skills to manage and lead the catering team.
- Professional demeanor and high standards of personal presentation.
- Previous kitchen management or head chef experience within branded units is essential.
- Strong people skills and leadership qualities.
- Computer literacy, including stock control, rotas, and budgeting.
- Experience managing high-volume food outlets, stock control, and team management.
