Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, part of ESS Defence, is recruiting a Catering Supervisor to lead our catering team on shift. The role: 37.5 hours per week, contracted to 50.2 weeks per year, with duties from open to close to keep food great and service slick.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience, a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, and excellent communication and organisational skills. Compass offers a comprehensive benefits package and pension support.

• Experience supervising a catering team or readiness to step up
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to lead by example
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate or willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering team on shift to deliver high-quality food and service

• Train and support team; lead by example
• Coordinate between customers and team to exceed expectations
• Keep the manager updated on shift performance
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
