Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Store Person to support the Catering Department with stock control, receiving and distributing catering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires lifting, moving stock and working in ambient, chilled and frozen environments. 15 hours per week on Mondays and Tuesdays, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to food safety and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a stores, warehouse, stock control, retail stock management or catering environment.
• Experience receiving, storing and issuing stock.
• Experience following Health & Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and record deliveries of food, beverages and catering consumables; report shortages, damages or quality concerns.
• Store products safely in ambient, chilled and frozen environments and undertake stock control activities (FIFO, replenishment, stock counts, inventory checks).
• Pick, issue and distribute stock to catering outlets, wards and departments; maintain accurate records.
• Support allergen management with correct labelling and traceability; maintain clean, organized stores and storage areas.
• Undertake temperature monitoring, assist audits and service improvement activities; adhere to food safety and manual handling requirements.
