Job summary

NTW Solutions Limited is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee Catering Assistants and ensure high standards in patient and staff meals. You will manage rosters, supervise service quality, and uphold food safety procedures in NHS-linked settings.

The role includes cash handling during service, ward visits to monitor waste and compliance, and opportunities to propose improvements while supporting new staff development.

Qualifications

• Recognised catering qualification such as NVQ Level 1 and 2.
• NVQ level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent.
• Health and Safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Providing day to day supervision of Catering Assistants.
• Ensuring the quality of the catering service.
• Ensuring procedures are followed, including food safety checks and risk assessments, completing records as needed.
• Producing staff rotas and arranging cover when needed.
• Carrying out cashier duties during service and cash handling.
• Visiting wards to assess food waste and carry out kitchen inspections.
• Speaking with service users and wards about food service.
• Proposing changes to improve service.
• Reporting faults and repairs for equipment and buildings.
• Recruiting new starters and training them.
