Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites - as a Catering Service Engineer, you would be expected to perform various reactive and preventative, trade-related duties listed below to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed its contractual obligations with its clients across multiple estates of varying ages and building types.
The role of our Catering Service Engineer centres on maintaining catering assets to a high operational standard, ensuring all equipment is serviced, safe, compliant with legislation, and used correctly. It involves monitoring asset condition to support timely replacement planning and minimise downtime, as well as sourcing costeffective spare parts and identifying opportunities to introduce improved alternatives. The job also requires advising on misuse when equipment isn't utilised properly and staying informed about new or updated catering equipment through research and manufacturer training.
