Job summary

TechMet Ltd. is seeking an experienced Service Engineer in the Belfast area to join a reputable team and help drive service excellence for commercial catering equipment.

The role offers progression to a leading position within the Service team, with funded training and qualifications supported by the company. Essential criteria include extensive post-apprenticeship experience, COMCAT 1-5 and Gas Safe registration, and the ability to supervise others while maintaining high customer service

Qualifications

• Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in installation, maintenance and servicing of commercial catering equipment.
• COMCAT 1-5 qualifications and Gas Safe registration.
• Full clean driving license.
• Ability to supervise others whilst continuing to work effectively as part of a team.
• Highly customer focused with strong communication skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service all types of commercial catering equipment.
• Lead and mentor the Service team while working as part of a team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service standards.
• Maintain a high level of Health & Safety in the workplace.

This is a superb opportunity to join a well-established and reputable business seeking to add an additional Service Engineer, with the prospect of taking a leading role within the Service team to deliver the company’s exceptional customer service standards.

The role will appeal to experienced Service Engineers from the Catering Equipment sector looking to progress into a more senior position. Our client will also consider applications from Gas Safe registered Plumbers keen to move into the sector and who are willing to complete the Commercial Catering Gas qualifications required for the role, with the assistance of a fully supported training package.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in the installation, maintenance and servicing of all types of commercial catering equipment
• Possess the following industry standard qualifications:
  • COMCAT 1 - 5 qualified
  • Gas Safe registered
• Ability to supervise others whilst continuing to work effectively as part of a team
• Setting an example to the Service team through technical knowledge and quality of work
• Highly customer focused, presentable and possessing strong communication skills
• A high level of awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace (CSR as a minimum required)
• Possess Maths & English GCSE’s (or equivalent)
• Full clean driving license

Desirable Criteria:

• F-Gas qualification to permit work on refrigeration equipment
• Electrical knowledge (qualifications an added advantage)
• Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH or equivalent, 1st Aid at Work, Working at Height)
