Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Chef Manager for Highclare St Paul’s to lead the site’s catering, ensuring high-quality dining for pupils, staff and visitors. The role is Monday to Friday, term-time with a 46-week contract and a 40-hour week.

You will work closely with the operations manager, manage budgets, maintain service standards and develop the food offer, while ensuring compliance and excellent customer service across all dining areas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering excellent food standards.
• Hands-on Catering Manager with team leadership.
• Ability to manage budgets and P&L statements.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Recognised cooking qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2.

Responsibilities

• Lead the catering team in daily production and service across the site.
• Deliver the client agreed budget and the company annual budget.
• Develop and implement dining and hospitality facilities to standards.
• Prepare and report monthly/annual Profit & Loss statements.
• Manage day-to-day operations and drive service excellence.
