Job summary

Thomas Franks in Sunderland is seeking a General Assistant to join our busy catering team. You will help with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning and supporting daily meal service in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a variety of duties across service areas. Benefits include free meals on duty and free parking, plus ongoing training and career development opportunities within our independent contract catering group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment is preferred.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for daily operations.
• Set up, serve, clear and store away food, beverages and equipment for events.
• Prepare basic foods to standard and maintain hygiene practices.
• Restock stocks and assist during service to meet customer needs.
