Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. operates a 24/7 catering site in Rugby, offering breakfast and lunch to a large team. We are seeking a General Assistant to support customer service, food preparation and service in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves 5 days over 7 shifts with part-time hours, competitive pay, and benefits such as free meals on duty. Experience in catering and a Level 2 food hygiene qualification are desirable for applicants who are committed to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment is preferred.
• Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive service.
• Good personal presentation and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and replenish stocks.
• Prepare service areas for daily operation and meals.
• Set up, serve, clear and store food, beverages, and equipment for functions.
• Prepare, portion and present basic food following hygiene standards.
• Restock supplies during service and anticipate customer needs.
• Dispose and manage waste and recycling appropriately.
• Occasional evening and weekend work for events/Functions.
• Ensure food standards and wastage control are maintained.
• Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen controls.
