You will manage ingredients for sessions, store student contributions, check equipment, and ensure food safety and hygiene standards across all practical areas. This role supports daily lesson activities and helps deliver a high-quality curriculum.

Qualifikationen

• Coordinate the use and development of practical resources and facilities in Food and Catering.
• Provide guidance and support for the practical requirements of the Food and Catering curriculum.
• Collaborate with Food teachers to prepare teaching resources and demonstrations.
• Collect, store and manage student ingredient contributions and dietary information.

Aufgaben

• Work with Food teachers to produce teaching & learning resources.
• Prepare resources for practical demonstrations when required by Food teachers.
• Organise the purchase of ingredients for practical cooking sessions.
• Collect and store student ingredient contributions and use them to purchase ingredients.
• Record and manage student allergy and dietary information.
• Check equipment used during practical sessions for good working order.
• Report damaged or missing equipment and complete annual audits.
• Ensure clean aprons, cloths and tea towels are available for each session.
• Provide student support during practical lessons as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene across all work areas.
• Record fridge and freezer temperatures daily.
• Oversee cover work from absent teachers and arrange cover when needed.
