Job summary

PK Education Limited is recruiting a qualified Food Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Chesterfield, starting after October half-term. This is a full-time contract running initially until Christmas, with potential for extension depending on school needs.

You will deliver practical and theory-based lessons across KS3 and KS4, focusing on nutrition, cooking techniques and food hygiene.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a UK secondary school.
• Confident delivering practical lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Full-time position starting after October half-term.
• Initially running until Christmas.
• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
• Teach food preparation, nutrition, hygiene and safety.
• Support students with practical skills and coursework where applicable.
• Plan, mark and assess student progress.
• Maintain a safe and well-organised practical classroom.
• Work collaboratively with the Design Technology department.
