Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group is seeking a Catering Assistant at Thomas Henshaw Court Southport to support the preparation and service of nutritious meals for residents. You will help maintain high health and safety standards and work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one), knowledge of COSHH and general safety practices, and prior catering or kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Help minimise waste and use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support the catering team and communicate any issues promptly.
