Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group's St Marys Ipswich is seeking a Catering Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals for residents, supporting a friendly team in a caring environment.

You will follow health and safety standards, minimise waste, and use kitchen equipment safely. Level 2 Food Safety or willingness to obtain one is preferred, with experience in catering and care for older people being a plus.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are followed to a high level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating issues promptly.
