Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd is seeking a capable catering assistant to join the team. You will support service with customers, stock replenishment, and cleaning, while preparing areas for daily meals and events. Duties include basic food prep, serving, and ensuring hygiene and allergen controls are followed.

You will work with a team delivering high quality service, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and be flexible for occasional evenings and weekend events. A Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience in customer or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support team by serving customers, replenishing stocks, and cleaning.
• Prepare all service areas for the day’s business relating to that meal service.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store away any food, beverage or equipment for special functions.
• Prepare basic food for sale/service following hygiene and safety standards.
• Restock and replenish stocks during service and pre-empt customer needs.
• Empty and store rubbish; recycle correctly.
• Occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for functions/events.
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety policies, and allergen controls are followed.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment preferred.
• Be part of a great team; maintain excellent customer service.
