Prestemede is a 12 bed care home in the pleasant residential area of Presteigne in Powys. The kitchen team supports our residents with nutritious meals, while upholding high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Shaw Healthcare, the UK's largest employee-owned healthcare provider, is looking for a Catering Assistant to work alongside our Chef. The role offers a 6 hour contract with shifts 15:30–17:30 and pays £13.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation.
• Preparing hot meals, sandwiches and light refreshments when required.
• Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic.
• Cleaning food preparation areas and kitchen equipment.
• Clearing tea trolleys where applicable.
• Managing kitchen waste and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Following food hygiene, Health & Safety and company procedures.
• Working as part of a supportive and friendly catering team.

About the Role

Working alongside our Chef, you'll help prepare nutritious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents. You'll also help keep the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety.

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting with food preparation.
