Job summary

Shaw Healthcare in Presteigne is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support the chef in preparing nutritious meals for residents. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety.

This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45 with a 6-hour contract and shift times from 15:30 to 17:30. You’ll join a dedicated catering team within a respected UK employer-owned provider.

• Follow food hygiene, Health & Safety and company procedures.
• Work as part of a supportive and friendly catering team.

About The Home

Prestemede is a 12 bed care home in the pleasant residential area of Presteigne in Powys. The beautiful garden, with its shrubs and raised flowerbeds, enhances our tranquil location. Prestemede promotes a person-centered approach to care, where each resident is treated as an individual with unique needs, preferences, and experiences.

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Working Hours: 6 hour contract

Shift Times: 15:30 - 17:30

About The Role

Working alongside our Chef, you'll help prepare nutritious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents. You'll also help keep the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety.
