Job summary

Shaw Healthcare in Presteigne is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support the chef in preparing nutritious meals for residents. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety.

This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45 with a 6-hour contract and shift times from 15:30 to 17:30. You’ll join a dedicated catering team within a respected UK employer-owned provider.

• Following food hygiene, Health & Safety and company procedures.
• Working as part of a catering team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation.
• Prepare hot meals, sandwiches and light refreshments when required.
• Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic.
• Clean food preparation areas and kitchen equipment.
• Clear tea trolleys where applicable.
• Manage kitchen waste and maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow food hygiene, Health & Safety and company procedures.
• Work as part of a supportive and friendly catering team.
