Job summary

Bower Care Home in Linlithgow is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join a brand new care home team from day one. You will help deliver high quality meals in a clean, well organised kitchen and work closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

This hands-on role offers a supportive environment, competitive hourly pay of £12.71, and the opportunity to develop your experience in catering for residential and dementia care residents.

Qualifications

Bower Care Home is a purpose built care home in Linlithgow, providing residential, dementia, nursing and respite care in a modern and welcoming environment. With 60 en suite bedrooms and a range of excellent facilities, the home offers a comfortable setting for residents and a rewarding environment for our dedicated care team.

• £12.71 per hour
• Full Time & Part Time Available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
Joining a brand new care home from the very beginning offers a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape the kitchen environment, team culture and day to day dining experience as the service develops. As part of the team from the outset, you will play an important role in creating a clean, organised and welcoming kitchen where high standards and teamwork are valued.

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
