Job summary

Bower Care Home in Linlithgow is recruiting a Care Assistant to help shape a brand new service from the ground up. You will provide person-centred care, support daily living, and work within a friendly team to create a warm, respectful home where residents feel safe and valued.

We offer day and night shifts, full training, PVG paid, a pension, and 5.6 weeks annual leave on a full-time contract. Prior care experience is helpful but not essential, SVQ2 desirable.

• Full training and ongoing guidance will help you grow within the role.

Bower Care Home is a purpose built care home in Linlithgow, providing residential, dementia, nursing and respite care in a modern and welcoming environment. With 60 en suite bedrooms and a range of excellent facilities, the home offers a comfortable setting for residents and a rewarding environment for our dedicated care team.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hourFull Time & Part Time Available
• Dayshift & Nightshift Available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

Joining a brand new care home from the very beginning offers a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape the culture, standards and day to day environment as the service develops. As part of the team from the outset, you will play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming and supportive home where residents feel safe, respected and genuinely cared for.

As Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives every day. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

No two shifts are the same in this role. Some days will be busy and fast paced, others more relaxed, but you will always be part of a supportive team working together to provide the highest standard of care and create a positive environment throughout the home.

Whether you already have experience in care or are completely new to the sector, full training, guidance and ongoing support will be provided to help you build confidence, develop valuable skills and grow within your role.
