Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Catering Assistant for a permanent, part-time role at our Burton upon Trent site. You will deliver high-quality service, adhere to cleaning schedules and meet SLA requirements while supporting colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities include food service, cleaning duties, and safe operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have catering experience, basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates, and a customer-focused approach with strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment.
• Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided).
• Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
• Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented and strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
• Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
• Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Contract: Permanent
Type: Part Time
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (9pm to 3.45am)
Location: B&Q, Burton Road, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England, DE14 3FN
