Job summary

Mitie is a leading facilities management company hosting a Catering Assistant position at the B&Q, Manton Wood site in Worksop. The role focuses on delivering excellent service and maintaining dining spaces while adhering to cleaning schedules.

This permanent, part-time role is 16 hours per week with a fully flexible Sunday to Friday pattern. Cash handling and record-keeping are part of the job; basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates are desirable, with training provided if not held.

Qualifications

• Catering experience in a similar environment preferred.

• Good numeracy, literacy, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
• Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
• Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
• Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
