Job summary

St Margaret's Care Home in Newington, Edinburgh, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a full-time, on-site basis. The role pays £12.71 per hour, contracted to 35 hours per week, with PVG paid, pension and uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract.

Work closely with the kitchen team to support meal preparation and service, maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment, and help ensure high standards that contribute to residents' daily comfort and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a busy team.
• Good organisation skills with strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices is beneficial.
• Previous kitchen, catering or food preparation experience is helpful but not essential.
