Job summary

Allegra Care’s Fordingbridge Nursing Home in Hampshire is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the friendly kitchen team and deliver nutritious, well-presented meals to residents. The role emphasises a warm, household-style environment and an emphasis on care alongside culinary service.

Working 30 hours per week with weekend shifts, the position offers a permanent contract and opportunities for ongoing training and development.

About The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play an important part in ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious, well-presented meals in a welcoming environment.

You’ll Be Supporting Our Chefs And Kitchen Team With

• Food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Washing up and keeping work areas organised
• Assisting with meal service
• Helping ensure residents enjoy an excellent dining experience every day
• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering safe, high-quality catering services

Hours

• 30 hours per week
• One weekday shift
• Every Saturday and Sunday
• Permanent position
