Job summary

Lady of the Vale Nursing Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team and support the Chef with preparing and presenting meals while ensuring dietary needs are met. You will help with food storage, hygiene, and record-keeping in a friendly care-home setting.

Applicants with food hygiene and catering qualifications are preferred, but a commitment to training and development is welcome. The role offers a part-time schedule of 31.5 hours per week across three days with a competitive

• Ideally you will have a food hygiene certificate and a Level 2 catering qualification or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.

• Support the Chef with food preparation and storage.

Lady of the Vale has an opportunityfor a Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team in our friendly care home. We’re on the look out for someone to support the Chef with food preparation and storage, ensuring different dietary requirements are met where necessary, as well as helpingwithmaintaining accurate records and the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Ideally, you will have worked in a care home kitchen beforebut if you haven’t, you’ll still have experience of preparing and serving creative, high quality and nutritious meals in a commercial environment.
