Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking a Category Manager to own the strategy and commercial performance of your categories, turning customer insights into plans that drive profitable growth across Retail, Digital and Marketplace.

You will lead supplier negotiations, shape range and pricing, and collaborate with teams to balance availability and working capital while delivering customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience in Category Management or comparable commercial trading role in retail or FMCG.
• Experience managing category P&L performance and delivering customer-led plans.
• Knowledge of supplier negotiations, range development, pricing and promotions.
• Experience working across Retail and Digital channels using data and customer insight.

• Lead and develop allocated category colleagues, building commercial capability and accountability.

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in Nuneaton (or another designated location) for a minimum of 2 days per week.

You'll have the opportunity to influence our customer proposition across Retail, Digital and Marketplace, lead supplier partnerships and help more people find products that support their health and wellness goals.

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring

• Experience in Category Management, Buying or a comparable commercial trading role within retail or FMCG.
• Experience managing category P&L performance and delivering customer-led commercial plans.
• Knowledge of supplier negotiations, range development, pricing and promotional planning.
• Experience working across Retail and Digital channels, using data and customer insight to guide decisions.
• Commercial judgement, financial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities and act on performance trends.
• The ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
• Leadership and coaching experience where relevant to the role.
