YMCA Robin Hood Group is seeking a Casual Youth Support Worker to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods within our Housing Provision. You will start days at the YMCA offices, engaging with residents and planning age-appropriate activities to build skills and confidence.

Role involves lone working, Monday to Friday baseline with occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends. A positive, nurturing environment and DBS checks are highlighted; salary is stated per hour and benefits apply from

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting vulnerable or challenging individuals with diverse needs.
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents.
• Proactive and passionate about supporting people and creating a positive environment.

Responsabilités

• Engage with residents individually and in small groups to identify strengths and promote new skills.
• Craft constructive activities to build confidence, self-esteem and independence.
• Coordinate with local providers to create volunteering, education or employment opportunities.
• Follow schedules for regular 1-2-1 or small group sessions and maintain consistent support.
• Organise and facilitate life skills sessions for residents.
