Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Training Business Partner to drive safety, compliance and people development across our warehouse network. You will shape training strategy, deliver MHE instruction, and ensure staff are equipped to meet our high standards in a fast-moving logistics environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on MHE instruction, RTITB/ITSSAR/AITT/NPORS accreditation, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Regular site travel is expected.

Qualifications

• MHE training delivery and assessment experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff at all levels.
• Willingness to travel across sites as required.
• Understand and apply MHE regulatory standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management across multiple sites to identify training needs and annual plans.
• Lead and drive safety initiatives to improve the working environment.
• Plan, deliver and assess MHE training per Group policies and standards.
• Develop and deliver task-specific SSOW training and other specialist modules.
• Conduct Group Induction for new employees to introduce standards and expectations.
• Deliver process, safety and quality training to support onboarding and development.
• Lead or assist in incident investigations and translate findings into coaching or reassessment.
• Train Authorized Site Specialists in warehouse operations, processes, and handling.
• Engage with customers to ensure training aligns with client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Management: Work closely with management teams across multiple sites to identify training needs and establish annual training plans.
• Champion Safety Initiatives: Lead and drive safety initiatives to create a safer work environment.
• MHE Training Expert: Plan, deliver and assess MHE training in accordance with Group policies, approved standards and operational needs.
• Specialist Training Developer: Create and deliver Task-Specific Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and other specialist training modules.
• Group Induction Leader: Conduct the Group Induction for all new employees, ensuring they have a thorough introduction to our company's standards and expectations.
• Quality Standards Trainer: Deliver process, safety and quality standards training to support employee onboarding and ongoing development.
• Incident Investigator: Lead or assist in incident investigations, performing root cause analyses and translate findings into appropriate coaching, training or reassessment.
• Authorised Site Specialist Trainer: Train 'Authorised Site Specialists' in areas such as warehouse equipment operation, warehouse processes and systems, and manual handling.
• Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to ensure training aligns with client expectations and addresses specific needs.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 3 years practical experience operating counterbalance MHE within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Qualifications: Current accredited MHE instructor qualification recognised by RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or NPORS
• Training Expertise: Demonstrable experience in a training or assessing role.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of MHE regulations and compliance standards.
• Additional Knowledge (Desirable): Understanding of transport operations and DCPC course delivery.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and travel as required across sites.
