Job summary

Hopetown Darlington, operated by Darlington Borough Council, is seeking a proactive Visitor Experience Supervisor to lead the retail and admissions team at its rail heritage site. You will train staff, plan rotas, drive ticket and merchandise sales, and monitor KPIs while delivering outstanding customer service to every visitor.

• Experience in hospitality or visitor services preferred.
• Able to lead a retail and admissions team.
• Strong customer service ethos with an 'above and beyond' approach.
• Experience in rostering and KPI monitoring.

Hopetown Darlington extends across a 7.5-acre site and encompasses a wagon themed play park, an immersive time travel experience ride, and even includes a gallery to watch live engineering in action. The Visitor Experience Supervisor will not only support the duty managers but will lead, motivate and inspire a retail and admissions team. Customer service excellence will be at the top of your agenda, adopting an 'above and beyond' approach to visitors. Leading by example is crucial and a can-do attitude and focussed approach is essential. Your versatile skills will range from training the team and problem solving, to devising rotas, driving ticket and merchandise sales, along with monitoring KPI's and creating outstanding visual merchandise displays. You will bring high energy, positivity, and a creative flare to this dynamic, front facing role.
