Job summary

Halcyon Way School, part of Kingfisher Learning Trust, is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our inclusive special needs setting. You will support pupils with personalised learning plans and help them access learning and participate in activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with or caring for children, ideally those with special educational needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A calm, empathetic and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in a range of learning environments, based on their Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
  • Working with specialist equipment and technologies.
  • Promoting pupil wellbeing, dignity, and independence, including personal care and healthcare routines.
  • Supporting and leading positive behaviour management using the Team Teach approach.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to prepare, deliver and support engaging learning activities.
  • Contributing to a warm, inclusive and values-driven school culture.
