Job summary

Advance Housing and Support Ltd is seeking a Casual Support Worker in Redruth, Cornwall to help people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions live the lives they choose. The role offers flexible hours and a meaningful career in social care.

You don’t need previous care experience; what matters are your values and willingness to learn. Duties include personal care, meal support, accompanying appointments, keeping care records and staying safe at night.

Qualifications

• Experience in care not required; values and motivation matter.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Able to work every other weekends.
• Literacy and numeracy in English.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with preparing and cooking meals.
• Support with attending medical appointments.
• Support with social activities.
• Support with independent skills.
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with training.
