Advance is seeking a Casual Support Worker in St Austell, Cornwall to help people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs live the lives they choose. This zero-hours role offers flexible hours, mileage paid and full training support for a rewarding career in social care.

You will provide personal care, meal support, accompany medical appointments and assist with daily activities while maintaining care records and staying compliant with care plans.

Qualifications

• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
