Advance is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in St Austell, Cornwall, to help people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs live the lives they choose. 37.5 hours per week, includes weekends, days, evenings and sleep-ins.

No prior care experience required; what matters are your values, your empathy and your willingness to learn. You will work alone and in a team, keep accurate records, and follow care plans.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; values and motivation matter.
• Must be able to work alone and in a team.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• English literacy and numeracy required.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene if required.
• Medication administration if required.
• Support with preparing and cooking meals.
• Support with attending medical appointments.
• Support with social activities and independent skills.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans.
• Keeping training up to date.
