Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester in Salford Quays is seeking a Linen Porter to join the housekeeping team. You will manage linen handling, deliveries to floors, and assist with general cleaning duties to maintain high standards.

We welcome applicants with previous housekeeping or linen room experience, strong attention to detail, and a flexible, can-do approach. Weekend work is required, with benefits supporting staff wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Collect linen from corridors, count it and bag it for collection by the linen provider.
• Receive linen orders from the supplier, check and ensure that it is received to the correct standard.
• Keep the Linen Room clean and tidy.
• Deliver linen to floors for Room Attendants, as required.
• Carrying out general hotel cleaning duties, as required.
• As and when required, clean hotel bedrooms and public areas to a high standard, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, and reporting repairs and lost property.

Linen Porter responsibilities

• Collecting linen from corridors, counting it and bagging it for collection by the linen provider
• Receiving linen orders from the supplier, checking and ensuring that it is received to the correct standard
• Keeping the Linen Room clean and tidy
• Delivering linen to floors for Room Attendants, as required
• Carrying out general hotel cleaning duties, as required
• Previous Housekeeping experience
• Previous Linen Room experience
• Good communication skills

• Ability to work weekends as well as during the week
