Job summary

Hull College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (Casual) to provide confidential, customer-focused support to learners with additional needs. You will work with the Team Leader and curriculum staff to help learners access services and complete their studies, contributing to a positive learning environment.

The role requires GCSE English & Maths at Grade C (or equivalent), and a collaborative, approachable manner to support all learners and staff across college activities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths Grade C or equivalent.
• Understanding of additional learning needs of learners.
• Confidence navigating college ICT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with additional learning needs to access college sites and services.
• Assist learners with neuro-diverse and complex needs to study independently.
• Provide information, advice and guidance to adhere to assessment needs and EHCPs.
• Work with academic staff and learner services to provide reasonable adjustments.
• Support learners with personal care needs per college guidelines.
• Record daily support in timely fashion and attend relevant meetings.
• Assist Team Leaders in monitoring learner needs where needed.
