Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking Casual Learning Support Assistants to join our Additional Learning Support Team. You will work alongside teaching staff to help learners participate in college life, access their learning and build confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

Providing in-class support to learners with a range of additional needs and disabilities.
Supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning, participation and achievement.
Implementing agreed support strategies and reasonable adjustments.
Promoting learner confidence, independence, resilience and self-advocacy.
Supporting learners in classrooms, workshops, practical activities, work placements and community-based learning.
Encouraging active participation, attendance and engagement.
