Job summary

Sunderland Greyhound Stadia is hiring a casual Kitchen Porter to join our team at the Sunderland venue. You will be responsible for keeping workspaces and public areas clean, handling plate and pot washing, and supporting stock rotation in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The role requires neat presentation, strong team spirit, and reliable, adaptable individuals who value quality service. Casual shifts on race days and events offer flexible hours and opportunity for training.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring workspaces and public areas remain clean and tidy throughout and after service.
• Carrying out cleaning duties as needed, always following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Operating and maintaining the plate wash and pot wash machines, including daily cleaning.
• Assisting with stock rotation and safely storing food in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Using cleaning chemicals when required, while following PPE and safety guidelines

There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
