Job summary

Cranfield Conference Centre Limited in Cranfield is seeking a casual Kitchen Porter to support our busy catering team. The role is on-site at Cranfield Campus with flexible hours and a friendly work environment.

You will maintain hygiene, assist with washing, and follow COSHH and health and safety guidelines while providing reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the kitchen and associated areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition, including floors within and leading into the kitchen
• Ensure all service wear and cooking items are thoroughly washed, cleaned and dried and returned to designated storage areas
• Ensure all chemicals and cleaning product are used as directed by the manufacturer and in accordance to the training given
• Maintain records for all cleaning duties undertaken during shift
• Use and maintain equipment in the department as trained and to report immediately any faults to the Duty Chef
• Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment is used as specified by COSHH guidelines
• Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team
• Comply with company procedures and legal requirements including Health, Safety and Hygiene standards
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with departmental working instructions
