Job summary

London Museum is seeking an Experience Host (Casual) to welcome visitors, guide events and support day-to-day operations across exhibitions and late openings. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and outside regular hours in a busy, dynamic environment.

You will help ensure a safe, inclusive and enjoyable visitor experience, with warmth, good judgement and the ability to read the mood of different spaces. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Experienced in guest-facing roles and able to read room dynamics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to welcome visitors.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors in a warm, human way.
• Read the pace and mood of spaces and adjust approach accordingly.
• Start conversations to spark curiosity and involvement.
• Support exhibitions, events, and late-night programming across the Museum.
• Provide clear guidance to help visitors navigate the space confidently.
• Encourage donations, ticket sales and participation when appropriate.
• Assist with ticketing, donations and visitor flow using till systems.
• Stay vigilant on safety, wellbeing and floor atmosphere.
• Assist during incidents, emergencies and evacuations as needed.
• Provide cover in the museum shop when required.
