Job summary

Wilson Vale is recruiting a Casual Events Assistant for one of our conference venues in Cambridge. You will support the set-up, delivery and clear-down of a wide range of events, from large-scale functions to intimate dinners, ensuring flawless service and a memorable guest experience.

This casual/zero-hour role requires you to be highly organised, work well under pressure, uphold strict hygiene standards and contribute positively as part of a collaborative catering team across varied venues.

• Experience in a similar role within a catering/events environment.
• Ability to stay highly organised in a high-pressured setting.
• High standards of hygiene and food safety awareness.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support set-up, delivery and clear-down of a wide range of events.

We are currently recruiting for a Casual Events Assistant to join our team at one of our conference venues in Cambridge, CB3 9AL.

Please note, this is a casual/zero hour.

We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

As a Casual Events Assistant, you will support the set-up, delivery, and clear-down of a wide range of events. Your responsibilities will include serving food and beverages, assisting guests, and ensuring each event runs smoothly and professionally.

We host a diverse programme of events, including large-scale functions, intimate private dinners, receptions, and conferences.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment


• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment


• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety


• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy


• Have excellent customer service and social skills


• Be customer focused


• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
