Job summary

Wilson Vale is recruiting a General Assistant for one of our independent schools in Worksop. This term-time only role covers 35 hours per week on a 5 over 7 rota, joining a team delivering breakfast, lunch and supper with a focus on freshness and high-quality service.

You will help with food preparation, serve meals, support the Sixth Form Centre coffee house, and maintain kitchen and dining hall cleanliness while completing other duties as needed. Training and career prospects are available.

Qualifications

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment.
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment.
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy.
• Have excellent customer service and social skills.
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff.
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 12.
• Be customer focused.
• Have basic food knowledge.
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team.

We are currently recruiting for a GeneralAssistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Worksop S80 3AP.

Please note, this is a term-time only position. The role is 35hours a week, working 5 over 7 on a rota basis.

Serving around 600 students and staff each day, you will help with food preparation and the service of breakfast, lunch, and supper. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals with an emphasis on freshness and presentation. You will also play a leading part in supporting and working within our new Sixth Form Centre coffee house, helping to create a welcoming environment while delivering excellent food and beverage service. In addition, you will support the team by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the kitchen and dining hall, along with completing other general duties as needed.
