Join Sodexo as a Domestic Assistant at Primary Care Centre Colchester. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors, supporting health and wellbeing across the site.

You will perform routine cleaning duties, follow local procedures, handle waste streams properly and work as part of a supportive clinic team. Extensive training and a protective uniform are provided.

Formación

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing work accurately.
• Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, flexible and team-focused.

Responsabilidades

• Complete general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning internal glass.
• Replenish supplies, replace bin bags and remove general and clinical waste using correct waste streams.
• Carry out routine, discharge and infectious cleans in line with local procedures.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete checklists and paperwork accurately.
• Check cleaning equipment and machinery before use, reporting faults or safety concerns.
• Clean and maintain equipment, including cables, filters and bags.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow COSHH, infection prevention and health and safety guidance.
• Wear the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the Team Leader when supplies are required.
• Keep cleaning cupboards and storage areas clean, safe and organised.
• Change curtains and clean blinds per schedule.
• Work as part of the wider clinic team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with safeguarding and data protection.
• Attend mandatory training as required.

What you’ll do:

• Previous experience in a cleaning role.
• A good understanding of cleaning methods and procedures.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety requirements.
