Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Domestic Assistant at Whitton Clinic Ipswich to help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You will perform daily cleaning, follow procedures, and partner with the team to maintain high standards across the facility. This fixed-term role offers evenings, 10 hours per week, and benefits while supporting vital health services.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards in line with national cleaning specifications.
• Complete discharge, deep-clean, and infection-control cleaning tasks as required.
• Follow cleaning schedules, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
• Report faulty equipment, hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards, equipment, and stock levels are maintained and organised.
• Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste correctly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support a safe and welcoming environment.
• Follow all health & safety, safeguarding, infection prevention, and confidentiality requirements.
