Job summary

The Halyard, Rope Walks Liverpool, is hosting a Commis Chef (casual) role to support the Head Chef and ensure the smooth operation of the hotel kitchen. You will help deliver meals that meet brand standards and assist with daily kitchen tasks.

Reporting into the Head Chef, you will be part of a busy kitchen, focusing on hygiene, HACCP/COSHH compliance and teamwork to provide outstanding dining experiences for our guests.

Qualifications

Passion for food and ability to communicate well with others.
Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail.
Commitment to providing outstanding, delicious meals to guests.

Responsibilities

Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion and to the appropriate standard.
Know the menu of the day and your responsibilities in accordance with the menu.
Ensure excellent food hygiene practices from storage through to preparation and service.
Ensure HACCP and COSHH compliance within the kitchen and outlets.
Avoid unnecessary wastage by observing proper control methods.
Keep kitchen equipment in working order and report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
Be prepared for business and assist in stock, orders and audits.
Actively participate in training on and off the job.
