Advance Housing & Support Ltd. is hiring a Casual Support Worker in Cambourne, Cornwall. You will support customers with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs to live the lives they choose.

You’ll need a full UK/International driving license with access to a vehicle; mileage paid at 0.55p per mile. The role involves varied shifts, including weekends, days, evenings and sleep-ins. No sponsorship is available.

Formación

• You don’t need to have previous experience in care or support to be successful. Values, passion and determination to make a difference are what matter.
• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work every other weekends.
• Able to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records.
• Literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with preparing and cooking meals.
• Support with attending medical appointments.
• Support with social activities.
• Support with independent skills.
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with training.
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure safety.
