Job summary

Advance Housing and Support Ltd in Cambourne, Cornwall is seeking a Casual Support Worker to assist with personal care, meals, medical appointments and daily activities for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. A full UK/International driving license and access to a vehicle are required; mileage is paid.

Role includes night checks, weekend shifts, and flexible hours with training provided and opportunities for progression within Advance.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; values and motivation to help others are essential.
• Need to be able to work independently and in a team.
• Must have full UK/International driving license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
