Job summary

The Carnegie Club is seeking a Night Porter for Skibo Castle, Highland, to support overnight operations with security, guest service and administrative duties. You will work with the Night Supervisor and Night Manager to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests.

Responsibilities include security checks, switchboard duties, maintaining presentation, and assisting with departmental needs. The role requires a 7 nights on / 7 nights off pattern, weekends and holidays included.

Responsibilities

• Support the Night Supervisor and Night Manager with safe, secure and smooth night operations.
• Carry out regular security and fire safety checks per Club procedures.
• Provide warm, discreet service to members and guests; assist other departments as needed.
• Manage switchboard after late Receptionist hours; handle calls professionally.
• Maintain presentation and ambience of the Castle overnight; ensure guest facilities look pristine.
• Complete routine checks of guest and external areas; report issues promptly.
• Assist Transport team with staff transport arrangements.
• Undertake general cleaning and tidying in staff and office areas as required.
• Assist with overnight financial and administrative procedures, including reconciliations.
• Communicate issues promptly to relevant managers and participate in Club training.
