Job summary

Marshall Motor Group in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated Cashier Administrator to support our finance team. The role offers a £27,040 basic salary and a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a large finance/accounting office; automotive retail experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented in a fast-paced, numbers-driven environment.
• Strong IT skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; Kerridge/Keyloop DMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post and allocate all cash sheets (site banking), undertaking journals where necessary.
• Handle queries, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct full bank reconciliations and liaise with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Audit current month’s cashbook supporting documents, ensuring everything is complete and correctly authorised.
• Ensure all documents are stored correctly for easy retrieval.
• Post cash paid entries onto Keyloop (cheques & cleared banking)

At Marshall Motor Group, Peterborough, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Cashier Administrator to help drive our finance function forward.

In this role:

• Post and allocate all cash sheets (site banking), undertaking journals where necessary
• Handle queries, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct full bank reconciliations and liaise with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Audit current month’s cashbook supporting documents, ensuring everything is complete and correctly authorised.

We're looking for:

• Someone ideally with 2+ years relevant experience in a large accounting or finance office (automotive retail sector experience is a plus)
• Someone detail-oriented who thrives in a fast-paced, numbers-driven environment
• Someone with proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and ideally with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS, though not essential.
• Someone comfortable managing a high volume of transactions with accuracy and efficiency Most importantly, someone who’s positive, eager to learn, and ready to make a real impact as part of our team
