Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting for a Case Assistant (Security Vetting) in York. The role involves reviewing vetting applications, confirming identities, and handling sensitive data with care.

You will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service while learning the end-to-end vetting process and working in a hybrid setup after training. The position offers training (up to 10 weeks, office-based initially) and a starting pay of £12.86 per hour with hybrid work 3 days in the office and 2 from home

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and quality-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Clear verbal and written communication, professional approach.
• Ability to handle sensitive information securely and consistently.
• Experience using bespoke IT systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out full reviews of vetting applications, including identity checks.
• Respond to enquiries and obtain additional information via email/phone.
• Handle sensitive customer information securely at all times.
• Deliver high-quality, customer-focused service while learning the end-to-end process.
• Support colleagues and applications with appropriate actions.
• Move between administrative duties to meet business needs.
• Make impartial, well-reasoned decisions in line with process.
