Job summary

Mears is seeking an experienced carpenter to carry out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied properties across social housing estates. You will undertake first and second fix carpentry, hang doors, install skirting and architraves, and repair windows and doors, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

You will work across both occupied and void properties, delivering excellent customer service while handling reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have proven carpentry experience in domestic maintenance and repair work
• Experience completing first and second fix carpentry
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience within social housing
• Carpentry or other trades qualification desirable
• Knowledge of damp and mould related repairs and associated legislation desirable

• Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied properties
• Undertaking first and second fix carpentry works
• Hanging doors
• Installing and repairing skirting and architraves
• Repairing and maintaining windows and doors
• Completing lock changes and repairs
